The 2007 Veiled Prophet Parade...A St. Louis Family Tradition for 130 Years

2007 VP Parade Features Rock Sensation Everlife and St. Louis Recording Star Erin Bode

The 2007 Veiled Prophet Parade is proud to feature the sister singing sensations Everlife on the Fair St. Louis / Celebrate St. Louis float.  The three sisters, Amber (22), Sarah (20), and Julia (16) have been performing as a group for seven. years.  During that time, Everlife built a grassroots following that has placed them firmly in the national spotlight.

Everlife is scheduled to perform on the Fair St. Louis Overlook Mainstage at 1:00pm on July 4th, just following the 130th Veiled Prophet Parade.  For more information on Fair St. Louis / Celebrate St. Louis click here or on the Celebrate St. Louis logo below.

St. Louis recording star Erin Bode will perform the national anthem as part ofthe Parade's Opening Ceremonies to be held in the intersection of Washington and Broadway.  She was featured recently on the CBS Morning Show and also performed on a recent live broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion.   Earlier this year, Erin and her Erin Bode Group traveled to South Africa on behalf of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod World Relief and Human Care to record a CD with the students of the Siathemba Girls High School.  Proceeds from the recording will benefit the Themba Trust, the nonprofit foundation that operates the girls' school.

The 2007 Veiled Prophet Parade will step off at 10:00am Wednesday, July 4th.  The Parade will begin at the corner of Washington and Fourth Streets, proceed south on Fourth Street to the Old Courthouse.  After turning west at the Old Courthouse, the Parade will continue west on Market Street to Union Station. This year's Parade theme is the City of St. Louis, honoring the Parade’s home town. The Honorary Grand Marshal will be Fire Chief Sherman George, recognizing the 150th anniversary of the St. Louis Fire Department. The Parade also will include eight giant helium balloons, elaborate custom-built floats, rare and exotic birds and a battle of the bands competition among high school marching bands.
